Tour Through Blogland

Happy Monday! What an oxymoron!
Anyways, I was asked by the wonderful Melissa at The Rambling Llama to participate in the Blog Land Tour. As well as Emily from The Cozy Corner asked me to write about my writing process and they happen to be the same questions! I am really excited to be apart of it and Melissa is so great for asking me to do it!

So without further ado:

What are you working on now? Well, a few things. But the three main ones are:
  • Yoga Page - If you follow my Instagam you know I dabble in the art of Yoga but I am working on a page entirely dedicated to my progress. Simply because I think everyone can do yoga and there are so many benefits and I want to show all you have to do is start and you will get better and gain the benefits.
  • Marriage Post - Writing about marriage is one of the reasons I started this blog and I have a post in the works that I am (hopefully) going to be really proud of!
  • Guest Post Series - I want to have a weekly guest poster in January I just am not sure of any sort of theme other than that!

How does your work differ from others in it's genre? Well besides the fact that I am a unique person and no one is going to be exactly like me - I just try to be honest. I don't like to paint a picture of something that isn't real.

Why do you write/create what you do? Even though I wish life was candy canes, rainbows, and butterflies. The Reality is - it's hard, it can be ugly, and unenjoyable. So I want to be real and relatable and, approachable. I want you to feel at home here and that you can share anything with me and I will listen. So in summation, I write because I feel like I have something to say & because I hope you - reader- can not feel alone & know that you matter. And because I think I am hilarious (if we're being honest).

How does your writing/ creative process work? Basically I have about 8-10 post ideas in my drafts section at almost all time. They're usually just titles like "hiring ideas" "home tour" "am I the only one?" and then sometimes I have one or two ideas jotted down. So when it is time to write a post I go through there and pick one that I have pictures for and finish it. Or sometimes some inspiration hits me and I write a post and post it the next day in it's entirety. Some days I post nothing because I don't want to force it. [even though my page views like, plummet that day - oh the horror]

And now the next steps on the blog tour:

Kenji is seriously adorable. She is super girly but very down to earth. She writes about her life, adventures, and how fun and cute she is - not really but I just think she is precious haha. She is the life of the party, a super hard worker, a fur mama, lover of Karaoke, and a Rheumatoid Arthritis Warrior. All in all she is very inspiring and I reallllly think you need to go check her out!

Lora at Heart of Life-
Lora's blog is so cozy to me. I really love clicking around her cute lil "corner of the www" as she puts it! Lora is a Drinker of hot tea and black coffee. Harry Potter fanatic. Lover of Luke Bryan and Cole Swindell. She loves soup and curling up with a blanket. she is old fashioned, a bit of a geek, and believes that love makes the world go around. She grew up in Tennessee and will always be a southern girl at heart no matter where her feet are planted. Sit back, grab a cup of tea, curl up in your favorite fluffy blanket, and stay a while on her blog.

  3. It seems like a lot of people have tons of drafts... I don't, though. I always end up trashing those. I do have handwritten drafts, but that's just because I work better on paper!

I'm a Pilates girl myself, but I know there's a lot of similarities and I need to get my booty back in shape once this babe comes! I'm pretty sure I'll be stalking you at that point! :)
